Guidelines
GTD GmbH has been working in recent years together with ESA to provide guidelines on how to promote ECSS Category B software to Category A. The guidelines are available here: ECSS Cat-A Qualification Promotion Guidelines
Tools
Additionally to the guidelines, GTD GmbH has also produced a set of tools to support promoting software to ECSS Category A. These tools can be found on GitLab:
- MCDC Checker, for assessing MCDC coverage with GCov
- ELF Checker, for checking which ELF sections are located in different types of binaries
- ASM2CFG, an assembler to control-flow-graph visualizer
- OCCTRE, for producing object code coverage
Some of the tools mentioned above are provided as beta software, meaning the software is not yet fully stabilized and might contain rough edges or bugs. Any feedback regarding these tools, through GitLab Issues, is highly appreciated.
